The 50/50 raffle winning ticket at the 4th Annual Slam Dunk to the Beach tournament in Lewes, DE is ticket # 1775744.
The lucky winner happened to be in the stands at Cape Henlopen High School at the official half-time drawing during the Sidwell Friends School (DC) v. Westtown School (PA) matchup.
Over the course of the three day tournament, the raffle generated $1,800 in sales, with the owner of the winning number receiving $900, and the other $900 being donated directly to the Jason Anderson Foundation, courtesy of the tournament.
As he was receiving his prize, the winner generously donated $500 back to our foundation, bringing our proceeds from this fundraiser to $1,400, of which 100% will be given back to the community, in addition to our other fundraising efforts, during the Spring and Fall grant processes in 2018.
We'd like to thank our 50/50 winner for both of his donations throughout the tournament, and for helping us on our mission to providing access to youth sports to children whose families cannot afford to pay on their own.
